We are pleased to announce our 2023 Communications Conference scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 9 a.m. to noon, at Loyola University Maryland’s Graduate Center in Timonium. This half-day event brings together the best and brightest of the Baltimore region’s PR and marketing professionals for a series of informative workshops covering a broad range of useful communications topics.

Panelists include:

  Keynote presentation from Bryan Sears, government reporter for MarylandMatters.org and Jeff Davis, Principal of Davis Public Relations, LLC and Baltimore regional editor for the Capitol Communicator
• Strategic Business Partner – the Superpower of Communications Professionals with Linda Foy, director of commercial communications and Emily Kennedy, manager of internal communications for Constellation
  
  Description: Do you find you sometimes fall into a rut of “taking orders” instead of shaping strategy? Fear not! In our upcoming presentation, we’ll dig deeper into how to earn a seat at the decision-making table and provide your clients with the internal Communications business support they didn’t know they needed. • Creating Engaging Video Content for Social Media presented by Simone Phillips for Charm City Table 

  Description: Introduced in 2020, the Reels function of Instagram entered the market as a new way to create and discover short, entertaining videos on the platform. Today in 2023, the function attracts more than 2 billion active users per month and has emerged as one of the best ways to connect with your audiences (and beyond) on social media. In this workshop led by Baltimore’s own Simone Philips, who runs the highly successful Instagram account, Charm City Table, you’ll learn easy tips for making Instagram Reels to increase your engagement and boost sales for your business or client. Be sure to come prepared with your social media questions for the Q&A portion of the program!
