For 53 years, Maryland Public Television (MPT) has enriched lives and strengthened communities through the power of media. MPT covers the state of Maryland and Washington, DC, as well as portions of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. A state agency, it operates under the auspices of the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission. MPT creates and distributes local, regional, and national content and is a frequent winner of regional Emmy® awards. Among its popular series are Direct Connection, State Circle, Maryland Farm & Harvest, Outdoors Maryland, and MotorWeek. It recently produced the national PBS documentaries Harriet Tubman: Visions of Freedom and Becoming Frederick Douglass, which aired nationally in October. As a public media organization, MPT serves its viewers, members, donors, educators, students, and the community at large. That includes the PR community! Join us as MPT hosts BPRC’s first in-person Holiday Luncheon since 2019. Enjoy networking with your peers and MPT personnel with a Santoni’s (pending) lunch while learning more about what’s new at MPT and ways our members can effectively partner with the statewide network from a panel of producers and executives.
